Environmental

Sure, PolyPavement looks beautiful, and is great for helping to achieve your landscaping and architectural vision, but please don’t mistake us for just another pretty face. There are actually many environmental benefits to using it as well.

PolyPavement Soil Solidifier is LEED compliant

PolyPavement is LEED compliant and can contribute to attaining LEED Credits in many categories for pavement including SS Credits 3,4 6.1, 7.1-7.3, MR Credits 1.1, 1.2, 2.1-5.2 and GCT Credit 17 and 18.

Because PolyPavement incorporates natural, indigenous soil, and has a much higher SRI (Solar Reflective Index) than black asphalt, and can be up to 100% recycled, it is favored by many green builders and architects.

PolyPavement Soil Solidifier is environmentally safe and does not harm plants or animals

In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, PolyPavement is non-toxic to plants and animals and it contains no known carcinogenic ingredients such as vinyl acetate or acetaldehyde. It has been tested and proven safe for sensitive aquatic life and does not leach into the ground water. PolyPavement may be applied in environmentally sensitive areas without worry or concern.

In the event of an accidental spill, static acute toxicity tests show that, as mentioned, PolyPavement poses no threat to sensitive aquatic life. Tests indicate that in order for PolyPavement to harm sensitive aquatic life in a lake (20 feet deep by 5 acres), two rows of fully loaded tank trucks parked end-to-end would have to completely encircle the lake and pump their loads of PolyPavement into the lake simultaneously.

PolyPavement is 100% safe for children and pets.

PolyPavement Soil Solidifier contains no VOC’s (Volatile Organic Compounds)

PolyPavement is a proprietary blend of Acrylic Polymers that are 100% safe for human exposure. The vapors are not harmful and no protective clothing or respirators are required when PolyPavement is being spray-applied.

PolyPavement is NOT a vinyl acetate. It is a known scientific fact that vinyl acetate vapors are carcinogenic and unsafe for humans to inhale or contact.
