POLYPAVEMENT’S ENVIRONMENTAL ADVANTAGES
Clean Ingredients:
PolyPavement is formulated with no known carcinogens such as vinyl acetate or acetaldehyde, and contains no VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). What’s interesting is that all of these carcinogenic products lack the strength that you get with PolyPavement. It’s safe to apply in residential areas, parks, playgrounds, and near waterways—even around sensitive ecosystems.
No Protective Gear Needed:
Unlike the above mentioned products, PolyPavement requires no special protective clothing or respirators during application, making it safer and easier for workers and DIY users.
PM-10 Emissions and Dust Control:
PolyPavement significantly reduces airborne dust, including harmful PM-10 particles (particulate matter 10 microns or smaller), which are regulated due to health risks. By locking soil particles in place, PolyPavement helps improve air quality and supports compliance with local and federal dust control regulations.
Non-Toxic, Non-Hazardous:
Independent lab testing confirms that PolyPavement poses no threat to plants, animals, or aquatic life—even in sensitive environments. In the event of an accidental spill, static acute toxicity tests show that, as mentioned, PolyPavement poses no threat to sensitive aquatic life. Tests indicate that in order for PolyPavement to harm sensitive aquatic life in a lake (20 feet deep by 5 acres), two rows of fully loaded tank trucks parked end-to-end would have to completely encircle the lake and pump their loads of PolyPavement into the lake simultaneously; an extremely unlikely scenario.
Reduces Urban Heat Island Effect:
PolyPavement uses the native soil on site, minimizing material transport and waste. Its high Solar Reflective Index (SRI) helps reduce the urban heat island effect, keeping surfaces cooler than traditional pavement.
Kid & Pet Safe:
PolyPavement is completely inert and safe for everyday human and animal contact. It does not emit harmful vapors during or after application.
PolyPavement is 100% safe for children and pets.
Erosion Control and Stormwater Management:
By stabilizing soil surfaces, PolyPavement helps minimize erosion, sediment runoff, and particulate pollution—all critical for preserving local watersheds. It so it can be a valuable tool for meeting stormwater compliance regulations.
Sustainable. Safe. Strong.
PolyPavement is more than an attractive surface—it’s a powerful ally for eco-conscious development. Whether you’re building a certified commercial site, a public park, or a sustainable residential driveway, PolyPavement supports your environmental goals without sacrificing performance or aesthetics.
LEED-Compliant and Eco-friendly
PolyPavement Soil Solidifier is LEED compliant and can help contribute to multiple LEED credits, supporting sustainable site development and eco-conscious construction practices.
PolyPavement may contribute to points in the following LEED categories:
Sustainable Sites (SS):
SS Credit 3 (Brownfield Redevelopment)
SS Credit 4 (Alternative Transportation)
SS Credit 6.1 (Stormwater Design: Quantity Control)
SS Credits 7.1–7.3 (Heat Island Effect – Non-Roof, Roof, and Parking Under Cover)
Materials and Resources (MR):
MR Credits 1.1–1.2 (Building Reuse)
MR Credits 2.1–2.2 (Construction Waste Management)
MR Credits 3.1–3.2 (Materials Reuse)
